Student Support

Supporting your journey of self-discovery

On Tribe teacher trainings students find that the intensity of a daily practice and the transformational power of the yogic teachings are an invitation to grow and transform, sometimes radically, over a short period of time. It is not uncommon that the deeply therapeutic work of the yoga practices encourage deep-set emotions and feelings to bubble up to the surface. Spontaneous laughter, tears, anger, fear and frustration may surface without any apparent cause. Often these releases are a trigger for subtle transformation and healing and considered a positive and natural process of one’s evolution. However, sometimes the release can often be felt as traumatic and sudden creating a fragile state of uncertainty and doubt. In such circumstance yoga teachers can offer their support and guidance but in many respects it’s advisable to seek out a qualified and trained professional to receive the appropriate counseling thats supports individual growth and development.

To support this growth and development we have the student support program in which students can take advantage of a private consultation with Tribes spiritual counselor.

Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy enables us to communicate directly with our inner intelligence or unconscious mind, and to influence it for our highest good. The unconscious mind is like the hard drive on your computer, containing programs and data which determine your habitual thoughts, feelings and behaviour. The positive suggestions received during hypnosis help to overcome limitations and free up our energy to focus on the things we consciously choose.

Spiritual conselling

For many people the thirst to resolve dissatisfaction and emotional disharmony leads to a journey of self-discovery and inner quest along some kind of spiritual path. Spiritual counseling is an invalubale therapy for everyone who is traveling along such a path, particularly yoga practitioners who often encounter profound emotional and psychological releases during and after practice.

Spiritual counseling takes into account both the psychological and spiritual dimension of the individual. It opens a gateway for developing and embodying deeper, hidden resources within ourselves and fostering our sense of awakening and growth.  It aims to integrate and heal our fragmented selves so we can begin to accept and experience the whole of our Being. By encouraging people to become aware of their responsibility as creators of their personal destiny this specific form of counseling takes people to a realm where they can experience their true nature, serenity, internal peace and return to a harmonious and balanced state of Being.

Spiritual counseling is an invalubale therapy for everyone who is traveling along such a path, particularly yoga practitioners who often encounter profound emotional and psychological releases during and after practice. It is not uncommon that deep-set emotions and feelings bubble to the surface as a result of unresolved past experiences. Spontaneous laughter, tears, anger, fear and frustration may surface without any apparent cause. But they are actually signs of unresolved issues hidden deep inside our physical, emotional and mental bodies. Often these releases are a trigger for subtle transformation and healing and considered a positive and natural process of one’s evolution. However. sometimes the release can often be felt as traumatic and sudden, the practitioner left in a fragile state of uncertainty and doubt. In such circumstance yoga teachers can offer their support and guidance but in many respects it’s advisable to seek out a qualified and trained professional to receive the appropriate counseling.

As well as working with past and present experiences, emotions and feelings, spiritual counseling also utilizes dream analysis to help peel back the layers of consciousness, develop awareness and create a connection with the deeper dimensions of our Being.

On Tribe teacher trainings many students find that the intensity of a daily practice and the transformational power of the yogic teachings are an invitation to grow and transform, sometimes radically, over a short period of time. To support this growth and development we offer a student support program in which students are offered a private consultation with Tribes spiritual counselor Hamid. Hamid’s expertise and guidance has proved invaluable for many students who have required additional individual and professional support to deal with the subtleties of emotional crisis that yoga students often experience.

Hamid is able to integrate much of Western psychotherapy with Eastern wisdom and meditation traditions. He spends a good part of the year in India and as well as offering spiritual counseling he has taught meditation and philosophy at Tribe from its early days. His own life experiences have helped him gain empathy towards the difficulties of others.  He understands that a trusting and accepting relationship is essentially and ultimately the relationship that heals.

Today Hamid is able to reach out to people all over the world offering counseling via the internet through both Skype sessions and e-mailing. Tribe would like to extend an invitation out to all yoga practitioners and spiritual seekers to benefit from personal and private consultations with Hamid.
