ART & YOGA CREATIVE

The forthcoming art workshop is an invitation to people from all walks of life to come together in a relaxed environment to develop and fine tune existing, or as yet undiscovered, artistic talent.

This is a unique opportunity to study art under the direction and guidance of the Max Böhme

Hailing from Austria Max is a highly skilled and professional artist with a long standing reputation within the art world. A Master Artist and Teacher who during his career has individually created volumes of highly collectable works and guided many students to realize and develop their own artistic potential.

The Art
The week begins with a choice of ‘still life’ or ‘life’ (with model) drawing sessions progressing on to painting.  Students have the freedom to nurture their own ideas and experiment with the different media whilst being guided and tutored by Max.
Max will tutor each student to utilize their ideas and skills into a final piece of work that will reflect an experience of hardwork, fun and creativity.

The Yoga
A great way to start the day and awaken your creative energy, becoming more focused and more in tune with your higher self...... as all great artists are!
Tribe teacher scarlett will teach a few classes during the week with an emphasis on creatve flow and focus...not to be missed...... but if yoga is not your thing you could just focus all your energy on the art.

You can work on your art anytime throughout the day..... coming and going as you please.

Max will also be working along side the students on one of his own pieces of work and will devote his time to the students within the tutor times above.

Max Boehme spent his early childhood on the shores of Lake Chiemsee in Bavaria, from the age of 7 he lived in Austria (Linz and Salzburg) growing up in a family of four lively boys with an artistic, vibrant and colorful mother. In 1986 aged 20 he attended the University of Applied Arts in Vienna graduating 6 years later with a diploma in free Graphics. In 1988 Max had his first solo exhibition and since then has worked feverishly in his own unique and individual style.

Over the last 15 years Max has been living east of Vienna on a medieval farm in a rustic country setting, he successfully converted one of his large out buildings to establish his own spacious studio in which he has enjoyed many years of productive work.
Since 1988 he has been teaching fine art and sculpture in the universities and academies in Vienna and Dusseldorf.
In 2007 Max founded the Vienna smoking saloon www.rauchsalon.org  an opportunity for artists to come together in a relaxed and social setting to share their creative ideas and achievements. He also founded his own edition, publishing artist books.

Venue
The art workshop will be held at the Ashiyana Retreat Centre, mandrem beach, Goa.
Ashiyana is a very beautiful space that has unique and stylish accommodation and facilities.

Cost
This course is Non Residential
€250 per week..................  includes tuition, basic art materials, yoga & breakfast

or €350 including accommodation at the cuba resort

The Mandrem Beach area has many various styles of accommodation to suit all budgets and preferences starting from as little as €8 per night. Its easy to find and book somewhere on arrival!

Art Materials
Paper and drawing materials are provided.
At the beginning of the week there is a trip to Goa's capital Panjim.
Max will give guidence on the available art materials so students who wish to can purchase paints etc at a fraction of the normal western cost

Travel Information
All Foreign Nationals traveling to India Require a Tourist Visa.
Please contact the Indian Embassy, Consulate or High Commission in your country to obtain a 6 month tourist visa prior to your departure to India.

Vaccinations.
Please check with your local travel clinic and ask their advice so you can make your own informed choice as to whether you want to take any vaccines or medicines. 

Many of us here at Tribe do not subscribe to western medicines as many are controversal and produce ugly side efects. We do recommend that you invest in a good travel insurance then if the unexpected happenes you will be well looked after by the great hospitals and medical teams here in Goa.

Getting There.
From the Goa Airport (Dabolim) there are government taxis that can be booked on arrival or we are happy to organise a local taxi to come and collect you. 
The journey from the Dabolim Airport to both venues takes approx 75 mins and costs about 20 Euros

If arriving in Goa by train (pernem station) or bus (Mapusa town station) we advise you to book a local taxi to collect you at the bus or train station. Details on booking.

You can also fly to Bombay (Mumbai), Bangalore, Delhi or other domestic airports and catch an internal flight, train or bus to Goa depending on your budget.
